Revere Control Systems
Revere Control Systems Inc. is a company which provides plant automation systems and services to industrial clients. The company was founded in 1980 in Irondale by brothers Bob and Tom Adams with Law Lamar. It has since grown to more than 200 employees.
The company moved to downtown Birmingham in 1986. The Adamses bought out Lamar in 1992, acquired M & A Controls in 1995, and moved the firm to 2240 Rocky Ridge Road in Vestavia Hills in 1997. In 1999 Revere acquired the Southern Engineering & Equipment Company of Graysville and MultiTech Systems of Helena.
In 2021 Revere Control Systems acquired the Curry Controls Co. of Lakeland, Florida. Later that year it consolidated its offices along the Rocky Ridge Road corridor into a former Winn-Dixie supermarket at 5201 Princeton Way, near the intersection of John Hawkins Parkway and Preserve Parkway, just southeast of I-459. The $9.5 redevelopment project was supported by tax abatements from the City of Hoover.
Revere has also opened offices in Chattanooga, Tennessee; St Petersburg, Florida; Charlotte, North Carolina and Texarkana and Houston, Texas.
