Robert Winston Burgett (born c. 1960) was finance director for the City of Homewood from 2018 to 2024.

Burgett graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 1987. He joined Homewood's finance department as an accountant in September 2013, and was promoted to finance director in June 2018.

He retired on March 31, 2024. Shortly before that date city officials began investigating irregularities in the city's accounts. The FBI and Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office assisted the Homewood Police Department in the investigation. In April he was arrested at his home in Helena and charged with embezzling $947,059.46 from Homewood during the previous year by issuing fraudulent payments to a bank account he controlled. He pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama Judge Anna Manasco in October.
