University Tacos is a taqueria with two locations in Birmingham's City Center.
The original University Tacos was opened in May 2014 at 2009 University Boulevard by Jesús and Gabriel Miranda. Decor is UAB-centric, and the restaurant serves primarily tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and salads for breakfast and lunch.
After the adjacent Lucy's Coffee and Tea closed in 2020, University Tacos expanded into that space to create a larger dining room.
In 2024 owner Karla Serrano opened a second restaurant in the former Miami Fusion Café space at 2015 University Boulevard. The facade was painted in bright colors by muralist Dewon Moton.
