Veenschoten & Company
Veenschoten & Company is a manufacturer's representative and industrial supplier for utilities, pulp and paper plants and petrochemical facilities. Its offices are locatedat 216 Aquarius Drive, off of West Oxmoor Road in West Homewood. It was formerly located in the New South Center at 1900 Crestwood Boulevard in Irondale, with a branch office in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The firm was founded in 1953 by William Veenschoten, son of engineer, inventor and Northwestern Equipment Co. founder Vincent Veenschoten. Veenschoten & Company initially represented boiler products manufacturer Copes-Vulcan, which purchased Northwestern in 1955. The company soon added Fireye combustion controls to its portfolio.
Veenschoten & Company was formally incorporated in 1972. In December 1997 it was sold to Clyde Hunter and Ace Rickard.
