The Vulcan Record Co. was a rhythm & blues record label active in the 1950s. It and its pop/country sibling, Pennant Records, were founded in 1955 by veteran New York producer Peter Doraine with the backing of the music distributor Southland Entertainment. The label's business address was 1425 10th Place South. Cy Aptaker was the venture's sales director.
In 1955 Doraine claimed that the label was building a recording studio in Birmingham.
