WAGG-AM, called Heaven 610, broadcasting at AM 610, is an urban gospel format radio station owned by Summit Media licensed to Birmingham and broadcasting across the Birmingham area from a 5,000-watt Class B transmitter behind the A. G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club at 4821 Avenue W Ensley Red Mountain. It shares studios with five other Summit stations in the Meadow Brook 2700 building at Meadow Brook Corporate Park. The general manager is John Walker and program director is Darryl Johnson.

The broadcast license for what eventually became WAGG was granted in 1926 to WKBC-AM. The current call letters were adopted in 1982 for the former WENN-AM, which then broadcast on AM 1320. They stand for "A labama's G ospel G iant", but also honor A. G. Gaston, who had bought WENN-AM in 1976 and operated as part of his Booker T. Washington Broadcasting Service, under the leadership of Louis Willie Jr. Cox Media Group acquired BTW's four stations 1998 and switched WAGG's frequency with WEZN-AM on January 15, 1999.

In November 2006 WAGG-AM put then-Birmingham Police Chief Annetta Nunn's recording of the standard "Precious Lord" into rotation. The positive response led her to release a full album, Gospel in Blues, in 2007.

Cox sold its Birmingham stations to Summit in 2012.

On October 3, 2014, WAGG began simulcasting on FM translator W271BN (FM 102.1). On March 14, 2016, WAGG switched over its FM translator to W261BX (FM 100.1). In the evenings the AM transmitter power is dropped to 610 watts.
