The district's core is a group of commercial buildings on the 900 and 1000 blocks of Oxmoor and the 100 block of Broadway. Dawson Memorial Baptist Church is to the east, Edgewood Presbyterian Church and Edgewood Terrace Apartments are to the west, while the rest of the surrounding area is largely made up of single-family houses.
