Fire Station 20 is located on Avenue W between Madison Avenue Southwest and 47th St Ensley. It is home to the Birmingham Fire Academy, the Drills and Training West division, and the fire protection for Five Points West, South Park, and parts of West End.

Birmingham Fire Station No. 20 is a Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service station located on Avenue W between Madison Avenue Southwest and 47th Street Ensley.

The first Station No. 20 was located at 2300 29th Street Ensley. In 1960 it house a single 500-gallon pumper truck.

Built in 1961 on the site of the department's old drill tower and training building, it was designed to provide up-to-date facilities for the Birmingham Fire Academy.

Station 20 offers fire protection for the neighborhoods of Fairview, Rising West-Princeton, Central Park, Oakwood Place, Ensley Highlands, and Arlington-West End.
