The Homewood historic Christmas ornaments are a series of commemorative Christmas tree ornaments created by artist Don Stewart. The first six ornaments in the series were marketed as a fund-raising for the Homewood Chamber of Commerce from 2003 to 2008. Those ornaments depicted historic Homewood buildings and scenes. The ornaments were produced in editions of 500 and sold for $10.
In 2009 Stewart bought the remaining stock of unsold ornaments and added a seventh design to the series, depicting the spotted salamander native to Shades Creek that has become an unofficial city mascot.
