The Vestavia Hills City Council is the legislative body for the City of Vestavia Hills. It is made up of one representative from each of four places, with the Mayor serving as a fifth voting member, and as President of the council.
Prior to the city adopting a City Manager in 2010, the Mayor served in the role of executive and the Council chose its own president from the holders of five elected seats.
The body meets in the evenings on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. Work sessions are held during the intervening weeks.
