FC Birmingham is a semi-professional and developmental soccer club with multiple teams at different levels.
The program began with the founding of Birmingham City FC Academy (now FC Birmingham Youth Academy) in 2018. The senior men's team was founded by Doug Walk in 2020, using Carver High School's stadium as a home field. DeLeon Fancher served as general manager of FC Birmingham. Carlos Mercado is the current coach.
In 2021 FC Birmingham completed in the NISA Nation Premier Pioneer League, and finished as regular season champions. The team moved into the United Premier Soccer League's Georgia Division in 2022.
