Samford Bulldogs football are the Division I, Football Championship Subdivision representatives of Samford University. Currently the Bulldogs complete in the Southern Conference, having moved from the Ohio Valley Conference at the start of the 2008 season.
Samford plays its home games on campus at the 6,700-seat Seibert Stadium.
The program began when the school was known as Howard College and its campus located in East Lake. The football program was dormant from 1973 to 1984.
