New Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, called New Rising Star Church or The Star, is a Missionary Baptist church located at 7400 London Avenue in Birmingham's Brown Springs neighborhood. It was founded in 1963. It erected its new building in 1992.
The congregation established the New Rising Star Community Support Corporation which operates day-care and educational enrichment programs and also rehabilitates affordable housing in the community. New Rising Star's "Operation East" program distributes food, clothing and medical care to the community free of charge.
