The Birmingham Jam was an annual 3-day music festival held at Sloss Furnaces in the fall, between 1991 and 1997. The first event was put on by the Lakeview Festival Association, with later iterations credited to promoter Joe Benintende's Encore Entertainment.
The festival featured blues, jazz and gospel acts including Pinetop Perkins, the Staple Singers, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Gregg Allman, Luther Allison and Taj Mahal.
