The Winery at Pepper Place is a wine producer, bistro and event space located at 2801 2nd Avenue South in Pepper Place. It was founded in 2010 by Tom Vizzini and Teal Dick of Vizzini Farms Winery in Calera and and John Coppey of Wills Creek Vineyards in Attalla. The partners decided to open an urban "micro-winery" at the urging of Cathy Crenshaw following several successful wine tasting events at the Pepper Place Farmers Market.
Using juices brought in from regional and national producers, the winery makes and bottles nine varieties. The bistro serves a daily lunch and the venue can host events for up to 100 guests.
