William "Buddy" Aydelette (born August 19, 1956 in Mobile) played college football at the University of Alabama from 1977 to 1979, earning All-SEC honors in 1979. As a professional he was most well known as a guard for the Birmingham Stallions of the now defunct USFL. From 1983-1985, he was named a member of the All-League Team.[1] He also played in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers in 1980 and the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1987.[2] Aydelette now resides in Trussville where he is a member of the city council.
