The Southern Environmental Center was an educational outreach program founded in 1993 at Birmingham-Southern College. The executive director was Roald Hazelhoff.

The on-campus center, completed in 1998 in the college's former indoor pool area, included a 5,600-square foot interactive exhibit hall with a conference room and gift shop. The center also planned and constructed Ecoscape teaching gardens in various Birmingham neighborhoods.
