The Pete Hanna Arena is a 132,000 square-foot, 5,000 seat multi-purpose indoor stadium and fitness center located on the campus of Samford University and home to the Samford Bulldogs men's and women's basketball teams. It also houses offices and other facilities for the Samford athletics department and a 12,000 square-foot student fitness center.
The facility, near Seibert Hall and the Bashinsky Field House, was dedicated on October 19, 2007 in honor of former Bulldogs football star and Hanna Steel CEO Pete Hanna. Designed by Stanmar, Inc. of Sudbury, Massachusetts, it is reportedly one of the largest buildings ever built to is a strict Georgian style of architecture. It cost an estimated $32 million to construct.
