Octane was a gourmet coffee shop chain founded in 2003 by Tony and Diane Riffel in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2011 it merged with Birmingham's Primavera coffee roaster under the Fresh Hospitality umbrella.
The city's first Octane coffee shop opened on March 1, 2013 at 2821 Central Avenue in Homewood. The shop was managed by Primavera's Brett Burton. A second location opened on November 24 of that year in the Westin Birmingham at the Uptown entertainment district adjoining the BJCC.
In 2017 Octane was purchased by Birmingham's Revelator Coffee Co.
