Banks Academy is a non-profit private Christian school founded by Darryl White, Ben Deloach, Ginger Griffin Burkett and Randy Overstreet.

It opened for incoming ninth graders in August 2015 in the former Family Worship Center at 8301 8th Avenue South in South East Lake. It moved to Huffman Baptist Church at 700 Huffman Road in the summmer of 2022. Former Leeds City Schools administrator Kathy King is was the initial principal. It is now led by Dr. Cathy Trimble.

The school is named in honor of the former Banks High School, alma mater of the four founders. The school's logo incorporates a jet plane, inspired by Banks High School's mascot.

In 2019, Darryl White's son Riley, grandson of legendary Banks High football coach Shorty White, resurrected the football program. After a season of 8-man football, the program entered the AISA AA program, playing its first home game on August 21, 2020 against Pickens Academy.
