Famous Fred's was a fast food restaurant operated by Mike Kassis in Suite 122 of the Hoover Commons shopping center at 1615 Montgomery Highway in Hoover from at least the 1990s. The business was founded in 1984 and specialized in fried chicken baskets and sandwiches made to order. Gyros and baklava reflected Kassis' Greek heritage. The restaurant also served breakfast.
In 2016 Kassis sold the business to Raymond Zarzaur. The business closed in 2023 and was replaced by a Hotspot wings restaurant.
