The W. R. Moore farm was a family farm operating at the intersection of Tarrant Road and Pineywood Road in Gardendale. It has since been subdivided into residential lots. A stone water cistern on the property, constructed in the 1930s or 40s, remains as a local landmark.
Moore's son, Ray, became pastor of Pineywood Baptist Church.
