Sun Valley is a neighborhood in Birmingham's East Pinson Valley community. It occupies the area east of Echo Highlands and west of Center Point and Apple Valley. The campus of Jefferson State Community College is at the center of the neighborhood, which is crossed by Pinson Valley Parkway and Sunhill Road.
The neighborhood is represented in Birmingham City Council District 1.
The Sun Valley Neighborhood Association meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at the East Pinson Valley Community Center.
