The Five Points South neighborhood is a neighborhood in Birmingham's Southside community. According to the 2020 U.S. census, it is the most populous neighborhood in the city, with 10,792 residents.
The neighborhood is divided north/south between Birmingham City Council District 3 and District 6, with a portion of Midtown, west of Railroad Park belonging to District 5. During the 2022 redistricting process much of the business district and Ramsay High School were moved into District 6 over the objections of Councilor Valerie Abbott.
The Five Points South Neighborhood Association meets on the 3rd Tuesday's of each month at 6pm, at the Highlands United Methodist Church, Social Hall on 1st floor, at 1045 20th St South. The current officers include Wil Jones as president and Danny Jones as secretary. Vice president is currently vacant.
