Patrick Jerome Whitehead is the band director at Huffman High School and minister of music at 16th Street Baptist Church.
Whitehead graduated in 2000 from Alabama A&M University with a bachelor's degree in music education. He was a member of the Marching Maroon and White and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He has "perfect pitch".
He was a pool manager at West End's Woodward Park before taking a job at North Roebuck Elementary School. He joined the faculty at Huffman in 2002.
In April 2009 Whitehead was arrested and charged with sexual abuse by force and sodomy in a case involving a Huffman student. He pleaded guilty to guilty to sexual misconduct and was given a 12-month suspended sentence with unsupervised probation.
Whitehead is married and resides in Pinson.
