The New Trussville Community Center is proposed for a site along Trussville-Clay Road adjacent to the proposed new Hewitt-Trussville High School. The 67,500 square foot, $10 million, one-story structure would replace the John C. Yarbrough Community Center on Parkway Drive.
Proposed for completion in either late 2007 or early 2008, the center will feature an exhibition hall, a full-sized kitchen and several meeting rooms. Designed by Davis Architects, its architecture will compliment that of the neighboring new Hewitt-Trussville High School.
