The 2020 Hoover municipal election was held in Hoover on August 25, 2020 to determine the Mayor of Hoover and all seven places on the Hoover City Council.

- Sam Swiney, 3,346 votes (27.1%), 1,643 votes (57.1%) in runoff, winner
- Robin Schultz, 3,113 votes (25.2%), 1,236 votes (42.9%) in runoff
- Ron Brown, 2,368 votes (19.16%)
- Dina Shunnarah, 1,770 votes (14.3%)
