Year constructed?
- I can't find any sources at all on the year it was constructed. Our Robert Waldrop article states that it was named for him in 1976, and while I am pretty sure that is when it was built, I left that part out. Summe's Homewood only mentions that HHS named their on-site baseball field for Waldrop, and doesn't mention Waldrop Stadium or any football venue at all. --Wheresdib 10:50, 11 March 2008 (PDT)
- Yeah, I'm afraid lack of information like this is one of the reasons I hadn't gotten around to writing this article yet. There may be a plaque or something at the stadium itself, but I no longer recall. --Lkseitz 11:13, 11 March 2008 (PDT)
- I'll try to get by there to see if I can find a plaque; however I remember it being pretty tightly secured when not in use. However, I think I can sneak into it from the back end of West Homewood Park; at least you could a couple of years ago. --Wheresdib 11:22, 11 March 2008 (PDT)

Renovations?
- I found an October 1, 1997 article in the Birmingham News (via JCLC) by Lori Chandler ("Homewood Schools to borrow $2.9 million") that referenced (amongst other projects) renovations to Waldrop Stadium; however I didn't find any other articles stating that the renovations had been completed, so I didn't use the reference. --Wheresdib 12:25, 11 March 2008 (PDT)
- I don't think I've been been back to Waldrop since high school, so I can't help a lot. I can tell, however, just from the Google Maps satellite view that there have been improvements made since then. --Lkseitz 13:34, 11 March 2008 (PDT)
