The Barony of Iron Mountain is the Birmingham chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, a nonprofit historical reenactment and living history group which is devoted to the study of the Middle Ages life and culture of the landed nobility in Europe before 1601. The Barony is part of the Kingdom of Meridies, which covers all of Alabama, most of Georgia and Tennessee, the panhandle of Florida, and small portions of Kentucky and Virginia.

The group meets Tuesdays at the Homewood Senior Center. It also serves as a mentor to the Canton DesForge in Trussville.
