The Institute of Sustainability (TIOS) was an environmental credentialing business founded in 2011 by former Vulcan Publications president Douglas G. Moore Jr. Its offices were located in the New South Center at 2000 Crestwood Boulevard in Irondale. The business dissolved in 2015.

Participating businesses and institutions filled out a checklist of practices employed to reduce energy and water use and waste materials and paid $500 for bi-annual certification and listing in a state-by-state Green Vendor Directory.
