Hewitt-Trussville Middle School is located at 301 Parkway Drive in Trussville, as the eastern bookend of the Trussville Mall. The school has students living within the Trussville School System in grades 6-8. Opening originally as Hewitt-Trussville High School in 1925, this has been a middle school since the opening of the new high school in 1982. Jack Wood Stadium is located on the school grounds and serves as the primary venue for all Trussville school athletics.
The principal is Phyllis Faust, who succeeded Sunderland Williams as interim-principal after his August 2007 resignation and was given the permanent post in March 2008.
