The Legendary Pineapple Skinners were a New Orleans-style jazz quintet based in Birmingham. The band was formed in 1997 by Tony Lombardo and Tom Dameron. Other members included Chuck King, Mike Cogan, and Sam Ranelli Jr.

The group's name came from a 1965 episode of The Andy Griffith Show, referring to an item sold by traveling salesman Newton Monroe, played by Don Rickles.

The Legendary Pineapple Skinners played regularly at The Club, and annually at Magic City Art Connection and for Rojo's anniversary parties. The group also performed at 2008 City Stages.
