• Articles on all former Birmingham City Council members and everyone listed in Mayor of Birmingham
• List of Railroads operating in the Birmingham District
• Articles for each entry in the List of Birmingham neighborhoods
• Big portal/survey-type articles for major events which had an impact on the area such as World War II, the Great Depression, Works Progress Administration, Labor movement, etc
• Walker v. City of Birmingham and other Supreme Court cases involving local issues
• Article on the original production of "Tuxedo Junction" a play that chronicles Black history of early Birmingham.

Long-term projects

Maps

• Generate aesthetically pleasing non-copyrighted maps for various topics (See 6th Congressional District of Alabama and Vestavia Hills for examples)
• Possibly develop Google Earth layers for certain categories or lists (homicides, meat and threes, wallace rayfield buildings...).

Timelines

• Articles for each calendar day have been created (Thanks, Wheresdib!). Let's keep expanding them with important dates from new articles.
• Begin creating articles for decades and years with links to specific topics (See 1901, 2005, etc.)

Portals

• Bhamwiki:Sustainability is online. It has some aesthetic problems to be worked out.
  • Could someone add a section for organizations working on Sustainability?
• Eventually, I'd like to see subject-specific portals for Bhamwiki, consisting of an introductory page with links to main articles, categories, lists, etc. These would be called Bhamwiki:Architecture, Bhamwiki:Arts, Bhamwiki:History, Bhamwiki:Music, Bhamwiki:Sports, etc.

• There could also be regional portals, such as Bhamwiki:Bessemer or Bhamwiki:Shelby County.
