The Charles Hamilton Road bridge over Five Mile Creek tributary is a 64-foot-long by 20-foot-wide concrete road bridge carrying Charles Hamilton Road (Jefferson County Road 54) over an unnamed tributary of Five Mile Creek in McCalla, just outside of Bessemer and north of the Norfolk Southern Railway.
The bridge was constructed in 1955 by the Jefferson County Department of Roads and Transportation. It has been rated as in "poor" structural condition since at least 1990. In September 2022 the county contracted with Barge Design Solutions to remove the bridge and modify the intersection. Bidding for the work is expected to begin in October 2023.
