Lori Livingston
Lori J. Livingston is the wife of restaurateur Surin Techarukpong and the founder of the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation, which is dedicated to the memory of her mother, Norma Livingtson. She works as an advocate for raising awareness of and treatment for ovarian cancer, including lobbying the United States Congress to pass "Joanna's Law" (the Gynecologic Cancer Education and Awareness Act of 2005) and raising money for research at UAB's Division of Gynelogical Oncology. For her efforts, UAB recognized Livingston with the 2007 "Outstanding Woman in the Community Award."
Livingston is a 1973 graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire.
Livingston created the dessert menu for the numerous "Surin" restaurants in Birmingham, Atlanta and Huntsville. She and Techarukpong have two daughters.
