Reita Ethel Clanton (born July 30, 1952 in Lafayette, Chambers County) was a member of the United States Olympic women's handball team that finished fourth at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic, coach of the four U. S. Olympic Festival teams, and a coach for the 1996 Olympic team. She was also a multi-sport star for the Auburn Tigers.

Clanton played varsity basketball and volleyball at Auburn, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in health and human performance. She joined the U. S. women's national handball team in 1974 and remained active as a player, coach, co-director and clinician until after the 1996 games. She has also coached girls' and women's basketball at the high school and college level and is a co-author of Team Handball: Steps to Success.

Clanton was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.
