The Station in July 2007

The Station was a nightclub in the former Victoria Station restaurant at 2025 Morris Avenue in downtown Birmingham. It first opened in the Summer of 1997 as a mixed-crowd bar that catered mostly to the gay community. The bar, owned by Phillip Jones, closed on September 29, 2002.

The Station was reopened by Chris King's Boxcars, LLC in October 2004. At 3:00 AM on June 3, 2007 The Station was the scene of a fatal stabbing, Birmingham's 27th homicide for the year. It closed in January 2008, later reopening as Zen.
