The 1965 Alabama State Fair was held October 4-9, 1965 at the Alabama State Fairgrounds.

The fair was highlighted by agricultural, home furnishings, and industrial exhibits. On the grandstand, crowds were treated to the crowning of the Maid of Cotton, and a Broadway-style chorus troupe, the Manhattan Rockets. Special appearances were made by Roger Smith, Jack Bailey, Jo Ann Castle, Lesley Gore, Nancy Ames, Pete Pedersen and Wes Harrison.

Auto races were held at the fairgrounds race track and numerous rides, games and shows made up the "Mile-Long Midway". Each evening closed with a "gigantic" fireworks show.
