Ben Wieseman

Benjamin Wieseman (born c. 1975 in Montgomery) is the founding principal of Place Associates, director of catalytic development for REV Birmingham and an adjunct professor of real estate development at the Auburn School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture.

Wieseman graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery in 1993 and completed a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture at the University of Kentucky in 1999. He was employed as a planner with Nuszer Kopatz Urban Design Associates in Denver, Colorado. He came to Birmingham as a planner and landscape architect for KPS Group in 2003 and became involved in Auburn's Urban Studio program. He also served on the Birmingham Design Review Committee.

Wieseman completed a master's in real estate development at Auburn University in 2012 and joined REV Birmingham in 2014. He was a member of the 2020 class of Leadership Birmingham. He founded his own firm, Place Associates, in 2022.
