1600th Article

  • Do we know what the 1600th article was? Are we going to keep doing it by every 100 articles or move to every 250? I.e., 1500, 1750, 2000, etc etc? --Wheresdib 09:27, 3 January 2007 (PST)
  • Looks like it was Storyteller fountain. Let's make it a priority to expand that stub since its linked on the main page. --Dystopos 09:58, 3 January 2007 (PST)

Jan 2007 numbers

  • Wow! The page views are way up. I guess the added press (Black & White) and the internet mention, along with return visitors, is helping get the word out. My boss even knew about it, we were talking the other day when walking by the First Avenue Cut on the way to Scott's Koneys.  :) --Wheresdib 08:50, 15 February 2007 (PST)
    • My own reading of the more detailed figures available to me indicates that almost everyone is finding BhamWiki through internet searches (mostly Google). Although, more people do seem to be searching for BhamWiki by name. The item in the "News" in November produced a spike of traffic which then dropped back to a slightly higher plateau. The B&W article did not seem to have any effect whatsoever. For what it's worth, the top search terms which lead folks to BhamWiki include "mary anderson inventor", "dubba dubba twins", "luka wrax", "birmingham homicides", "a. h. parker", and "wspz". --Dystopos 11:27, 15 February 2007 (PST)
  • I have a similar report I can look at for a website that I am over and it is always interesting to see what people are putting in the search engines. Does your report show what the top pages viewed are each month? I am a statistic 'ho so don't go out of your way to show us the stats if you don't want to. --Wheresdib 11:42, 15 February 2007 (PST)
  • Most of those search terms have been/were featured on the home page for a while, so they probably place higher in Google's rankings. Speaking of which, some of the "New Articles" on the main page really aren't so new any more, are they? --Lkseitz 11:51, 15 February 2007 (PST)
  • Yikes, that Two-A-Days article is seriously outdated. If and when I have time I'll try to work on it. --Wheresdib 12:58, 15 February 2007 (PST)

3200th?

  • Who gets the honor of claiming the 3200th article? --Wheresdib 14:27, 29 November 2007 (PST)
  • I do. --Dystopos 14:36, 29 November 2007 (PST)
  • Bully for you! --Wheresdib 14:37, 29 November 2007 (PST)

Taking turns?

3700: Wheresdib. 3800: Dystopos. 3900: Lkseitz. 4000: Wheresdib. 4100: Lkseitz. 4200: Dystopos. Looks like I am due for 4300, haha! --Wheresdib 05:28, 3 June 2008 (PDT)
