Brianna Burrell

Brianna Burrell (born January 28, 1998 in Mobile, Mobile County) was Miss Alabama 2023.

Burrell graduated from Saraland High School and enrolled at Auburn University, but transferred to the University of South Alabama before completing her bachelor of arts in political science and philosophy in 2019. She interned with Feeding the Gulf Coast and Mobile's Mayor's Equity Task Force before taking a position as a STEM educator for Boys & Girls Clubs of South Alabama in 2021. In 2022 she published her own children's book, Investigation Nation: Who Made It? sharing stories of Black scientists, technicians, engineers and mathematicians.

Burrell, then competing as "Miss Mobile Bay", was first runner-up to Lindsay Fincher in the 2022 Miss Alabama pageant. She returned the next year as "Miss Baldwin County" and performed the gospel song "Alabaster Box" for her talent segment. She was crowned Miss Alabama at Samford University's Wright Center on July 1, 2023.

After her year of service as Miss Alabama, Burrell plans to earn a master's degree in education at the University of Alabama, and pursue a career in curriculum development.
