The Khalaf residence, sometimes called the Roebuck Castle is a 4-bedroom, 3-bath, 5,470 square-foot turreted brick house at 416 Lance Way, on the corner of Lance Boulevard in Birmingham's Roebuck Springs-South Roebuck neighborhood. It was built in 1967 for the Khalaf family, and later abandoned.
The property changed hands in 2003 with a sale price of $31,584.
In 2021 the house was purchased for $74,000 by Paul Mielke, host of "Flipping Down South" on A&E. He developed plans for a full renovation with contractor Joseph Holt. Interior finishes were removed and some framing and electrical rough-ins were completed before Mielke put the house back on the market for $230,000.
