La'Shondra Hemphill

La'Shondra R. Hemphill (born c. 1978) is a hip-hop producer and DJ, known professionally as RyNea Soul.

Hemphill grew up in Woodlawn and taught herself to play drums before graduating from Woodlawn High School in 1996. She attended Jacksonville State University and made extra money selling mix tapes.

Hemphill was engaged as an artist-in-residence at the Alys Stephens Center and was an instructor at Parker High School. In 2012 she founded the Institute for Creative Arts which provides music education programs to area youth, including the "SheShock Hop Hop Academy" program for girls. She toured Thailand with a "Next Level" team, sponsored by the U.S. State Department.

Hemphill is on the board of Girls Rock Birmingham.
