Linda Kimbrough

Linda Myrick Kimbrough (born 1929 in Millbrook; died December 6, 2011) was an artist and medical illustrator.

Linda grew up in Millbrook and graduated from Sidney Lanier High School. She earned a bachelor of fine arts at the University of Alabama in 1952 and married Thomas S. Kimbrough of Montgomery in 1953. She worked as a medical illustrator for the U. S. Air Force and in commercial publications. She also pursued fine art and had gallery shows in Montgomery and Birmingham.

Since 1973 Kimbrough resided in Birmingham and Northern Shelby County. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Riverchase United Methodist Church.

Kimbrough died in 2011 and was survived by her husband, son, and one granddaughter. She is interred at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
