Mary Ann Smith (born in Kinston, North Carolina) is a basketmaker and resident craftsperson at Tannehill Historical State Park. She and her husband Bill learned the craft together while living in Ohio and later apprenticed with Blountsville's Jesse Thomason. The couple specializes in traditional White Oak baskets. They also work together as instructors at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, N.C.
