Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ

The Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ is the regional unit of the United Church of Christ (UCC) for the states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Tennessee. It also includes western Florida. Its offices are in Atlanta, Georgia.

The United Church of Christ (UCC) was formed in 1957 by the union of the Congregational Christian Churches (CCC) with the Evangelical and Reformed Church (E&R Church). The Southeast Conference was formed in 1966 by congregations that had previously belonged to three different associations: four churches came from the Indiana-Kentucky Conference of the former E&R Church, 22 from the African-American Convention of the South of the CCC and 102 from the Southeast Congregational Christian Convention.

Birmingham-area congregations in the conference are:

• First Congregational Church
• Pilgrim Church

The conference has held its annual meeting in Birmingham three times:

• April 29-30, 1967 at Pilgrim Congregational Church
• June 8-10, 2006 at First Congregational Christian Church
• June 8-9, 2012 at First Congregational Christian Church
