1946-1947

• The newspaper article said Gulas purchased it in 1947, but there's an April 1946 ad on Birmingham Rewound (link) which shows it opening, on 5th Avenue West, in 1946. It's possible that Gulas opened one location then and moved a year later to the Tide & Tiger location. Not sure. --Dystopos (talk) 12:34, 1 April 2016 (PDT)
