The Inner

The Inner is an 8 foot-tall abstract concrete and painted steel sculpture by alumnus Kirk Brandon which was displayed on the campus of Birmingham-Southern College, southwest of the Theater, from its dedication in 1980 until the college's closure in May 2024.

The sculpture was donated to the college by Sam and Justine Barker.

After the closure of Birmingham-Southern in May 2024, the sculpture was sold at auction with a starting bid of $500.
