Uppseedaisees is a sleepwear company located in Vestavia Hills. It was founded in January 2000 by Leslie Scrushy, third wife of HealthSouth founder Richard Scrushy. The start-up was helped by a sizable loan from one of Scrushy's companies and brought its first products to the market that August.

The line of upscale, colorful pajamas and loungewear was worn by Courteney Cox-Arquette on an episode of "Friends" and was featured in a segment on the Rosie O'Donnell Show. At its peak of popularity Uppseedaisees had been stocked in over 150 outlets nationwide, including Gus Mayer, Pickles & Ice Cream, Isabel Archer and Parisian stores. It is still available in specialty stores and is also sold online. In the beginning the company's clothing was sewn by RBN Manufacturing Co. in Dothan, but production was moved to Peru in 2001 after that plant was closed by its owners. Uppseedaisees donates a portion of its profits to charities including Heifer International which distributes livestock to residents of under-developed countries and Watoto Child Care Ministries which places Ugandan orphans.

According to records placed into evidence by HealthSouth's shareholders' attorneys Uppseedaisees lost between $30,000 and $243,000 per year in each year since its founding, except for 2007 when it managed a meager profit. Scrushy has said that she plans to relocate the company to Houston, Texas where she and her children have moved while Scrushy serves a federal sentence in Beaumont. In 2009 it was revealed that the clothing company was paying Mr Scrushy's attorney's bills.
