Vino
Vino is an Italian restaurant located at 1930 Cahaba Road in English Village. It opened in September 2011 and is owned by Al Rabiee, who previously operated Anthony's in Southside and Assiago and Southside Bohemia at Five Points South.
The 50-seat restaurant features Italian and Mediterranean specialties with an emphasis on fresh ingredients. Laura Vogtle's Gallery 1930 occupies the front portion of the building. Ned Ruykhaver designed the interior renovations while Style created the restaurant's logo.
In 2021 the restaurant expanded its hours with a "Coffee Shop at Vino", open from 6 to 11 AM six days a week. The coffee shop features organic coffee blends from Amavida Coffee Roasters and teas from Rishi Tea & Botanicals alongside a limited menu of smoothies, small breakfast plates, parfaits, paninis, and baked goods. The outdoor patio will also host yoga classes and other events.
